Ascending to decumbent perennial, herb, 0.3-0.7 m high. Fl. blue-purple, Sep to Dec. Sandy loam, laterite.
Scientific Description
Stems unribbed. Leaves flat, 20-55 mm long, 8-30 mm wide, Indumentum present, with sparse, simple hairs; margins toothed. Bracteoles absent. Pedicel pedicellate, Indumentum present, Hair type with simple hairs. Calyx lobes present, Calyx length 1-2 mm long, hairy, with sparse, glandular hairs. Corolla blue or purple, 24-35 mm long, without auricles, not spurred, hairy on the outside, with sparse, simple hairs, hairy on the inside; central lobes 11-17 mm long, with wings; outer lobes 13-14 mm long, wing present on both sides and clearly unequal, 1.5-4 mm wide on the narrower side, 1.7-5 mm wide on the broader side. Anthers free. Ovary inferior, not gibbose; style 9-15 mm long, hairy; indusium single, hairy; ovules one or two. Flowers in September, October, November and December. Occurs in the Geraldton Sandplains (GS), Swan Coastal Plain (SWA) and Jarrah Forest (JF) IBRA Region(s), of the South West (SW) Botanical Province.
