Caespitose perennial, herb, 0.2-0.9 m high, Leaves tufted, broadly linear to oblanceolate, (6-) 10-30 cm long, 4-25 mm wide, apex subacute, margin entire, glabrous. Scape glabrous at base, glandular along inflorescence axis. Inflorescence paniculate. Fl. white/pink, Sep to Dec. Clay loam or sandy loam, granite. Base of raock outcrops, swamps, stream banks, depressions, valleys. Eucalypt woodland, coastal heath, myrtaceous shrubland.
