Rosetted perennial, herb, 0.2-0.6 m high, Leaves tufted, linear to narrowly oblanceolate, 2-10 cm long, 0.7-3.5 mm wide, apex subacute, margin entire, glabrous. Scape glabrous. Inflorescence paniculate. Fl. yellow, Oct to Dec or Jan. Sandy loam, sandy clay. Hillslopes and seasonally wet flats. Woodland, shrubland, sedgeland.
