Caespitose perennial, herb, 0.09-0.35 m high, Leaves tufted, broadly linear to narrowly oblanceolate, 3-14 cm long, 0.5-2 mm wide, apex mucronate, margin minutely toothed, glabrous. Scape glandular throughout. Inflorescence racemose. Fl. yellow-orange, Sep to Oct. Clayey sand or sandy loam, granite. Upper slopes, often near rock outcrops. Shrubland or open mallee woodland.
