Rosetted perennial, herb, 0.1-0.3 m high, leaves tufted, linear, 2-7 cm long, 0.5-2 mm wide, apex subacute, margin entire, scabrous. Scape glabrous. Inflorescence racemose. Fl. yellow, Sep to Nov. White, grey or yellow sand over laterite. Breakaways and hillslopes.
