Prostrate to ascending perennial, herb, to 1.2 m high. Fl. blue/blue-purple/white, Sep to Dec or Jan to May. Dark brown-black sandy loam, grey sand, wet brown peaty sand, ironstone gravel, granite, limestone. Flat to sloping landscapes, hillsides, near wetlands, watercourses, along river banks.
