Marianthus granulatus (Turcz.) Benth.

Image

Marianthus granulatus is a very slender, rampant twiner that grows up to 1.5m high, often covering its support with light green, silky hairy, oblong leaves. The flowers, which are generally solitary or sometimes in 3 to 5 flowered corymbs, are white to pale blue, sprinkled with purple-blue dots that develop with age. These star-like flowers appear during spring and summer.

Marianthus granulatus is a Western Australian endemic, growing in eucalypt woodlands and forests in the Porongurup Ranges.
