Callistachys lanceolata Vent.

Callistachys lanceolata (Wonnich) is generally an erect shrub growing to 3–4 m tall, but occasionally forms a tree to 7 m tall. The slender inflorescences of yellow to orange flowers appear from September to December or January.

As the species epithet suggests, the leaves are lanceolate (arrow-head) shaped.

It is most often found near fringes of inlets, rivers and creeks or in winter wet depressions in Jarrah and Karri forests. Wonnich is widespread from Margaret River and Bridgetown, extending to the Porongurups and Stirling Ranges, with scattered populations in the Darling Range as far north as Perth.
