Pimelea ciliata Rye
White Banjine (Pimelea ciliata) is an attractive, erect shrub usually 0.5–1 m high, with dark green, ovate, pointed-tipped leaves and terminal white flowerheads. This small shrub flowers profusely, making a beautiful display of creamy white or soft pink flowers 6–8 mm across. Each flower has four sepals that look like petals, with orange-tipped stamens that slightly to greatly exceed the sepals. The flowers are produced in spring and summer from August to December.
White Banjine can be found north of Bindoon, south to near Margaret River, and southeast near the Porongurup Range, W.A., where it usually occurs on hills in laterite and granite soil.
