Scientific Plant Names Dictionary
A Microsoft Word-compatible dictionary of the taxonomic names of Western Australian plants, fungi, algae and protists compiled by Margaret Langley, a botanist with our ecosystem science group.
Installation
- Download the Scientific Plant Names Dictionary, below.
- See the “Add a third-party custom dictionary” or “Add an existing custom dictionary” item on this Microsoft Word support article to help you install the dictionary if you run into trouble.
- For other word processors, consult the relevant documentation for how to install and use Microsoft Word custom dictionaries.
- This version of the dictionary is encoded in UTF-16 for easiest use with the latest versions of Word. You may need to convert the file to UTF-8 to make it work on old versions of Word or other word processors.
